Meet Edith — a soft sculpture inspired by the elegance of the Victorian era, with a gentle nod to the romance of well-loved books and heirloom treasures. She is handcrafted from German mohair and cotton muslin, filled with sheep’s wool for a weighty, vintage feel.
Edith is self-standing and lightly poseable, thanks to a wire armature running through her torso and ears. Her thoughtful silhouette invites quiet admiration — the kind reserved for beloved dolls on parlor shelves or tucked into memory boxes.
Her ensemble is layered with history and sentiment:
A skirt sewn from scraps of William Morris–inspired fabric, rich in botanical detail
Embroidered bloomers, upcycled from a vintage tablecloth
A miniature handmade book, its pages soft and aged, tucked in her arms
A petite hatbox, adorned with a golden rose and handwritten ribbon
A lace-trimmed blouse, a cameo necklace, and a dried floral bonnet complete her look
Her boots are hand-stitched from soft yellow leather, a final touch of cheery refinement
One-of-a-kind and never to be replicated — Edith is the only one of her kind.
