One-of-a-Kind Primitive Santa Doll | Approx. 14" Tall

Meet Sneaky Santa — a quirky little primitive Santa full of Christmas mischief and old-fashioned charm.

Each Sneaky Santa is handmade by me in my studio in Stratford, Ontario, and no two are exactly alike. Some carry tiny wrapped presents, while others hold festive winter bouquets, making each one his own little character.

He stands approximately 14 inches tall and measures about 6 inches wide. His weighted bottom allows him to stand on his own, so he is easy to tuck onto a mantel, shelf, entry table, cupboard, or into a primitive Christmas display.

Sneaky Santa is made from unbleached cotton sheeting, then painted and coffee-stained to give him a worn, primitive finish. His details include hand-formed wire glasses, a wool yarn beard, rusty bells, and carefully chosen festive accents.

He has that slightly peculiar, handmade look I love — as though he has been quietly sneaking around the house with a gift or bundle of greenery in hand.

A Note About This Piece

Sneaky Santa is made as a decorative primitive doll, not a toy. Each one is handcrafted individually, so small variations in expression, staining, fabric texture, decorative accents, and finishing details are part of his character.

Original pattern design by Stacey Mead of Raven’s Haven. This Santa version was creatively adapted by Tina Logassi from Stacey’s Gertie Witch pattern, with inspiration from her St. Jigs pattern.
