Murano Glass Head Pins | 1 3/8" / 36 mm | 200 Pieces

A premium pin for quilting, appliqué, garment sewing, and careful fabric work.

These Bohin Quilter’s Super Fine Pins are made in France in Bohin’s own factory and feature genuine Murano glass heads from Venice, Italy. They are beautifully made, wonderfully smooth to use, and designed for makers who appreciate a fine, precise pin at the worktable.

At 1 3/8" / 36 mm long, these are my favourite length of pin — long enough to handle comfortably and hold fabric securely, but still fine and controlled. The 0.50 mm super fine shaft glides smoothly through fabric without leaving large holes, making them a lovely choice for quilting cottons, appliqué pieces, garment sewing, and delicate woven fabrics.

The colourful Murano glass heads are easy to see as you work, and because they are glass rather than plastic, they will not melt if accidentally touched with an iron.

Why I Love Them

These are one of my favourite pins to use at the worktable.

I love the 1 3/8" length because it gives just a little more room to hold fabric securely, especially when working with layers, appliqué shapes, or larger pieces. Shorter 1" pins can feel a bit too small, but these still stay fine and precise.

They glide in and out of fabric beautifully, and despite being super fine, they feel sturdy and dependable. The Murano glass heads also give them that lovely premium feel — practical, polished, and easy to spot while you sew.

Why These Pins Are Special

These are not ordinary sewing pins.

Bohin is known for beautiful quality needles and pins, and these are made in France in their own factory. The heads are made from genuine Murano glass from Venice, Italy, giving them a refined finish, beautiful visibility, and heat resistance near the iron.

The long, super fine shaft measures 36 mm x 0.50 mm, which is a wonderful balance of length and precision. They are long enough to use comfortably, but fine enough for accurate fabric placement and delicate work.

They are a higher-priced pin, but the difference is noticeable: smoother entry, better visibility, heat-safe glass heads, and a beautiful working length for careful sewing.
