A wonderfully helpful shortcut for appliqué, quilting, and fabric crafting.
HeatnBond EZ Print Lite is a lightweight, iron-on fusible adhesive that can be printed directly through your inkjet printer. Instead of tracing detailed shapes by hand, you can print your pattern pieces, lettering, appliqué shapes, or templates directly onto the paper backing, then fuse, cut, peel, and stitch.
The Lite formula is designed for projects that will be sewn, making it a useful choice for appliqué, quilting, felt work, fabric collage, and other creative textile projects where you want a soft, flexible finish.
Why I Love It
This is one of those supplies that makes detailed fabric work feel so much easier.
When you are working with tiny shapes, lettering, repeated motifs, or detailed pattern pieces, being able to print directly onto the adhesive backing saves so much tracing time. It also helps keep your shapes more accurate and consistent, which is especially helpful for appliqué and layered fabric projects.
I especially like the Lite version because it keeps fabric flexible and stitchable, so you can still sew around your pieces by hand or machine after they have been fused in place.
Best Used For
| Use | Why It Helps |
|---|---|
| Appliqué | Helps hold fabric shapes in place before stitching |
| Quilting | Useful for appliqué blocks, lettering, labels, and fabric motifs |
| Felt projects | Helpful for cutting and positioning detailed shapes |
| Fabric collage | Keeps layered fabric pieces tidy and secure |
| Custom lettering | Allows text and shapes to be printed directly onto the paper backing |
| Pattern pieces | Saves time tracing detailed or repeated templates |
How to Use
| Step | What To Do |
| 1. Print | Print your design onto the paper side using an inkjet printer only |
| 2. Fuse to fabric | Place the adhesive side against the wrong side of your fabric and press with a dry, medium-heat iron for 2–4 seconds |
| 3. Cut | Cut out your printed shapes along the lines |
| 4. Peel | Remove the paper backing |
| 5. Position | Place your fabric shape adhesive-side down onto your project |
| 6. Final fuse | Press with an iron for 6–8 seconds |
| 7. Stitch | Sew around the edges with a straight, blanket, satin, or decorative stitch |
