My favourite little scissors for cutting felt, snipping threads, and getting into all those tiny corners.

The Kai V5135 scissors are 5 1/2" embroidery scissors with soft ergonomic handles and sharp, precise blades that cut cleanly right to the tip. I especially love them for felt work because they are small enough to maneuver around detailed shapes, but still comfortable enough to use for regular cutting.

These are the scissors I reach for when I need to cut tight curves, small appliqué pieces, narrow points, ornament details, and little felt shapes where larger fabric scissors feel too clumsy. They are also wonderful for snipping threads, trimming close to stitching, and keeping beside your sewing machine or worktable.

Why I Love Them

These are my go-to scissors for felt cutting.

They glide nicely through felt, get right into tight corners, and cut cleanly all the way to the tip. I also find they stay sharp for a long time and feel sturdier than many small detail scissors I have tried.

The 5 1/2" size is a really nice balance: small enough for precise cutting, but not so tiny that your hand gets tired right away. And because the handles are brightly coloured, I do not accidentally mix them up with my paper scissors or heavier fabric shears.
